We are a team of volunteers, who support British Business Forum Oman in our spare time. We do so because we are passionate about our members’ success and their role in delivering jobs and growth for Oman and the UK.

CHAIR
Stephen has been Chair of BBF Oman since 2021. He joined Renaissance Services in Oman in 1988, and has served as its CEO since 1998.

TREASURER
Mitul relocated to Oman in 2016 to start EY’s Indirect Tax practice. He trained with KPMG in London.

EVENTS
Maggie moved to Oman in 1990 for her late husband’s work at Sultan Qaboos University. She has worked in education consultancy since 1996 with Al Manahil, who began to represent Oxford and Cambridge University Press in Oman in 2000.

ENGAGEMENT
Lydia is Lead Counsel for Alternative Energy at OQ. She has lived and worked in Oman since 2016 - originally with Trowers & Hamlins, before her move to OQ in 2021.

BRITISH EMBASSY MUSCAT
Michael has been Director for Trade and Investment at the British Embassy since 2022, where he represents all of the UK Government’s Commercial interests in Oman. Before this, Michael had a background in trade and defence across Whitehall.

Rebecca has been Deputy Director for Trade and Investment at the British Embassy since 2019, after joining in 2017. She has been living in Oman since 2012, and previously spent 5 years in Bahrain and 4 years in Brussels leading on trade.
